PantryPal ("the App") is a pantry and expiration tracker that helps you manage food inventory, monitor expiration dates, reduce waste, and build shopping lists. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

Data Collection

PantryPal does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party.

• No analytics - We do not use any analytics or tracking services.
• No network requests - The App does not connect to the internet or transmit data.
• No accounts - No sign-up or login is required.
• No advertising - The App contains no ads or ad tracking.
• No cloud storage - All data stays on your device.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Food items - Name, category, quantity, storage location, and notes you enter.
• Expiration dates - Purchase dates, expiration dates, and open dates for tracked items.
• Storage locations - Custom storage locations (fridge, freezer, pantry, cabinet, other).
• Shopping list - Items you add to your shopping list with quantities and categories.
• Waste log - Records of discarded items including reason, quantity, and estimated cost.
• App preferences - Theme, currency, notification settings, and default storage location.

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

Permissions

The App may request the following permission:

• Notifications - Used to send expiration date reminders and low-stock alerts. Notifications are generated locally on your device and do not involve any server.

Third-Party Services

PantryPal does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs that collect user data.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The App does not collect any information from anyone.

Data Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. To delete all App data:

• Clear the App data in your device's application settings, or
• Uninstall the App.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
