dB Scout is a sound level meter app. All measurements and settings stay on your device. We do not operate any servers or cloud services for this app.
dB Scout requires microphone access to measure ambient sound levels. Audio is processed in real-time to calculate decibel readings and is never recorded or stored. No audio files are created.
No measurement history is retained between sessions.
The free version displays ads served by Google AdMob. No microphone data or measurements are shared with any third party.
In-app purchases. Any purchase inside the app (such as the upgrade that removes ads) is handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and keeps the record; the app only learns whether the purchase is active. We never see your payment details.
